The Pressure Company - Live In Sheffield 19 Jan 82

This was the pseudonym for Cabaret Voltaire on this one off 12" they did at a benefit concert in Sheffield. Being a mix of dub, experimental noise that kind of makes you wanna dance. Again this isn't my typical sort of thing but it's pretty cool and not bad party/DJ music. VG++ black vinyl that has gotten a lot more spins than I expected it to.

Blowfly - Rappin', Dancin', And Laughin'

If you don't know Blowfly then you're missing out on some real funny shit! When he's doing original stuff anyway... The albums where it's all cover songs with dirty lyrics bore me. But this one is all original dirty ass funk! Not only is the music good, and I'm not the typical funk kind of person, but the lyrics will make you piss yourself crying with laughter. So dirty. So vulgar. So awesome. And you can imagine this is only Strong VG vinyl since this is a total party record.

40 Hells - Looking For Answers

Oh what a long, hard, and frustrating road it was to get this record released! I won't go into that here... But I couldn't be more pleased with the finished product. This is #1/500 and on black vinyl with the limited edition alternate cover. And it sounds AMAZING on my stereo!!! I can't wait until the other covers are finished getting printed so we can roll out the gold and blue vinyl copies...

OK Pilot/Worn In Red/Attack! Vipers! split

I've been dying for a copy of this ever since I saw it was getting pressed for WIR's European tour last year! Luckily they still had a few copies on hand when they played NFZ last week. Mostly because hardly anyone in America knows this 7" exists... Kind of sucks that the OK Pilot track isn't unique to this piece of was. But what are you gonna do? Worn In Red's cut is just what I expect from them: hard and awesome! And I'm not hugely familiar with Attack! Vipers! but I've liked what I've heard. Plus WIR speak very highly of them so they're cool in my book! You'll probably have to order a copy from Yo-Yo in Germany but that shouldn't stop you if you're into any of these bands. You might discover something awesome too!

Reckless - Ocean

I fell in love with this one soon as I saw the cover... Silkscreened handmade all the way around and self released by the band. The music isn't that bad either. Gravelly female vocals and kind of melodic. Not a bad find for something that something that walked into the record store one day.

Tom Waits - Foreign Affairs

I picked this one up at Wuxtry last time I was down in Atlanta. And they almost lost that $20 sale from having this crate stuck under the table... First time I've heard this Tom Waits album, from 1977, and it's much more jazzy than everything else I've heard so far. I'm sure it will grow on me after Tom's usual lyrical and unusual sense of humor starts to pop out at me. VG++ copy with original inner sleeve.

Alice Cooper - Pretties For You

I'm not a big fan of reissues... They're usually grossly overpriced and just don't live up to an original pressing when you can find one in good condition. But in all my years as an Alice Cooper fan I have yet to see a copy of this album! So I kind of had to get it... Even if Pretties is one of their weird "Frank Zappa" albums...hah!
